WESTON CREEK UNITING CHURCH, WESTON ACT

The original building was designed in 1982 by Bryan Dowling and Associates, and by 1990 it required a considerable extension to house the growing congregation and the Sunday School. The main auditorium was extended by approximately 95m2 , a large ancillary hall was designed, joined by a concourse and large kitchen. Some of the extensive circulation area of the original building was redesigned as storage. The building project was documented in two stages, but it was eventually decided to construct it under one contract. The eventual Contract value was $405,000.00, and the building was constructed on budget and on time.
